| Pim de Klerk - Quaternary palaeoecologist |
Welcome on my homepage!
My name is Pim de Klerk and I am a trained palynologist with a geomorphological background. I am currently based in Karlsruhe (SW Germany), but previously I was in Greifswald (NE Germany). Since I started working with pollen in 1992, I have participated in several research projects which concentrated on the reconstruction of vegetation history within the framework of landscape development, on the reconstruction of mire development, on the relation between actual vegetation and pollen deposition, and on the reconstruction of the natural background of important archaeological finds. Geographically, these research projects locate in The Netherlands, NE France, SW Germany, NE Germany, NE Poland, Svalbard, W Georgia, W Siberia and NE Yakutia, whereas geochronologically they date between the late Weichselian Pleniglacial and present. Here I want to present some of these researches and my publication list.
If you want to contact me you can send a mail to pimdeklerk@web.de.
